M.I.A.

Sorry that I have been constantly M.I.A. Things have been a bit busy and now I have cold. Not to mention summer semester starts tomorrow, 8-4:30ish, five days a week, so I will be M.I.A most of June. Thanks for being supportive and still supporting my blog, once this summer semester is over, then I will be able to do more for my blog. I have so many ideas that begin to keep me up at night, but feel so bleh when I have the time to do them because of being busy. I do a lot for my grandma, keep the house kept up for my mom, have work, and now school again. May went by too fast and did not feel like the start of summer vacation, but you better believe once July comes around, it will be. I want to start a garden and do more, time is of the essence and the lack of being inspired holds me back. But I will find my inspiration again!

I thought I'd share some picture of my family from Mother's Day, I know it was weeks ago, but again It's been hectic and I haven't even wanted to be on the computer for more than 10 minutes, if that.
(by the way, I took all he pictures, so you wont see me. Our living room lighting kind of sucks. sorry)

As you can tell my grandfather kept watching me take pictures and did not move. It was funny. Everyone else was in action and he just stayed the same looking at me. It was kind of hard to take candids without the blurriness from the movement. One day I will get a really good camera, til then my camera suits me fine.

Pho Please

If you've never had it, your probably wondering what Pho is. Pho (pronounced P-Uh) is a Vietnamese dish. Its a noodle soup that is made to perfection! When I first had it I was iffy about it. It was a taste I was not used to and therefore I couldn't figure out if I liked it or not. However, the second time around I fell in love. Its different in a good way. I would totally recommend that you try it, if your up for something a little different.

Sunday my hubby and I went to eat Pho. I always get kind of excited when he suggests we eat there. It's so yummy. Plus Bubble tea, oh my goodness, so yummy! I always get coconut. It has tapioca pearls at the bottom and a super big straw that is made just for them to be able to go up the straw no problem. The pearls are a little different, but if you get the right kind or go to the right place, then you'll understand why I kind of like them. The pearls are kind of smooth, sweet, and different. The coconut is like a slushy/ smoothie type deal, but its heaven in your mouth! So the next time you want to try something a bit different, then try Pho and Bubble tea.

Bubble Tea!! Yummy!
Hubby is so much more photogenic than I am...haha. I look like a kid.. Above is BUBBLE TEA! :]

Fashion For A Cause

I was recently asked if I would have a guest post for Jackie Clark, whom does outreach for the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance. I thought it was a great idea! I also felt honored that she asked me. I hope you enjoy her post!! Whats the point of blogging if you can't help a cause.

Using Fashion in a Fight for Life

The women of this world are amazing, beautiful, talented, and powerful. Every day women study, learn, and work hard to care for others. In honest moments, most of humanity can agree Ginger Rogers isn’t the only woman deserving of such high praise. When a woman meets mortality face to face via a serious diagnosis such as cancer, she continues to dance to the rhythms of life. Though this time it seems as though a large pebble has lodged itself into one of her high heels.

During the flurry of doctor visits and intense treatments, life as usual doesn’t slow. Women can become exhausted from the rigorous routine. At this time the best course of action would be to slip off the heels and enjoy some time for her to focus on herself.

Many women enjoy browsing and shopping for new fashions. Often when illness arrives, self-care slips into the pile of things to do later, never to be picked up again. A little personal time spent exploring, identifying and purchasing fun, fashionable items goes a long way toward polishing a woman’s inner beauty and restoring the power in her life.

Today’s trends and fashions come in every imaginable shape. A tube of bright red lipstick brings a modern look to natural makeup styles. Smudged and smoky eyes allow women to appear reminiscent of clubs in the 1980’s. Even bringing nighttime glam to daytime looks can be done with barely-there blush and lip color.

Floppy hats in bright colors or trendy natural shades protect women from the sun and show off an innate sense of style. Scarves in bright colors and large patterns have also become popular accessory. A simple online search will reveal countless ways to sport these amazing accessories.

Mustache gear is a must for the younger crowd. Imagine the laughter and pick-me-up a young woman can get from a bright pink pair of mustache sunglasses. An over-sized white moustache T-shirt over a pair of leggings provides a fun, trendy but comfortable look.

Whatever a woman’s taste, she needs to feel comfortable and beautiful. The empowerment received from looking the best no matter what can buoy the spirit in the most difficult of times. Women fighting against cancer need a boost to inner beauty and strength. While most help comes from the ovarian, leukemia, or mesothelioma doctors, fashionable looks and outfits can often bring a burst of confidence and self-assurance that are also proven as a powerful weapon.

I love to ride my BICYCLE!

I have always loved this song. It just makes you smile every time it comes on. Queen has that way about their music. Its like you can't take the lyrics very seriously, but its fun.
Anyways, I got this new outfit, which I love, but was not super sure how I'd feel about it when I got home. Have you ever felt that way about clothes? But I am super happy and I will wear it. I also thought I'd take pictures with my lovely bicycle. I got it last year and love love love it! I probably dont ride it as much as I should, but either way...I love it. :] I even have a bell. Bling Bling.
I kind of went for the vintage feel with the editing, well color wise. Hope you like.!

I'm Back!!

I am sorry for the hiatus. I'm finally done with school until summer semester, which will probably end up with another hiatus. Things are getting busy again. I have a new job, which is taking up some of my blogging time. I will make the DIY updates and will do my best to make this blog even better.
I took these pictures before I went on hiatus and figured I'd show them to you. They, to me, arent the best. But hey, they can't all look flawless. haha. Have a great day!
